There are few places where you can find more unique ways to tie the knot than in Nevada.  Of course Las Vegas has been long been known as the elopement capital of the world, but now you can plan an elaborate destination wedding with all the glitz and glam you can imagine in one of the many resorts & hotels on and off the strip.

Anyone from Nevada will remind you that there is a lot more to Nevada than Las Vegas.  Heading north you will find the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains, Reno and Lake Tahoe which offer outstanding wedding venues indoors and out.   And, don’t forget the wonder of the Grand Canyon in the southern part of the state.

• Weather:   Nevada weather varies depending on the elevation of the location.  Las Vegas is very warm (105°+) in the summer months but in December you might have highs in the 50’s.  On the other hand, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, you will find summertime daytime temperatures ranging in the 70’s, but the winter temperatures may top out in the 40’s. 

Marriage Requirements

There is no waiting period, nor are blood tests required to be married in Nevada. You must be 18 with proof of age and your Social Security number to receive a marriage license. The process of getting a license is easier in Nevada than probably anywhere else in the world.
